The word is getting out. It’s all good, don’t worry. So what’s the word? There’s more than one. Charlotte. Technology. En fuego. Charlotte is rapidly transforming into a technology town. Is this true? How do you know? What tech companies are in the Queen City and what are they doing?
CRTEC, in its efforts to pull together local technology leaders to share best practices, learn from others, network, and make technology synonymous with Charlotte, is working on a new communication initiative. It involves talking with various tech professionals around town and sharing their story through social media.
The goal here is for tech companies to learn more about CRTEC and for others around Charlotte to find out who’s here (who being companies and the great people behind the logo), what they’re up to, what’s on their mind, you name it. Speaking of, any ideas for great contact people to include or a name for this initiative?
How can you get involved? A couple of ways. Let us know of great contact people we should consider, including you. Also, if you have any ideas for inspiring and creative ways, we’ll look for you to name it, so fire away!
While the creative juices are flowing, stay tuned. I’ve already spoken with someone, really I met this person for a different reason, but parlayed it into a Q&A session because of this company’s 30 year history elsewhere but as a relatively new kid on the block as a 3 year old here in Charlotte.
And the Mystery Company Is……
Did you know that TPM, a 30+ year old company, expanded into Charlotte 3 years ago? TPM serves architects, engineers, and contractors by providing software, training, and printing services. The company sells virtual construction technology such as Autodesk’s Autocad and Revit and is Meridian’s exclusive Carolinas reseller for Prolog, construction project management software. While these address pain points in the design build community, the real value-add, according to Paul Zytnik, is in the hands-on office training and commitment to excellent customer service. They also provide wide format graphics and printing for plans and construction signs. Contact Paul at 704.634.8934 to learn more.
